Brendan is a LibDem Councillor for Stonecot ward. He has been a Councillor for 9 years and served a Sutton’s Mayor in 2008/9 when his charity raised money to support the building of the new Children’s and Adolescents’ unit of the Royal Marsden Hospital . He is also a local GP in Sutton. He has served on the Development Control committee and the Children and Young Person and Learning Services scrutiny committee. He is married with 5 children and lives in Carshalton; his wife is a tutor at Carshalton College. He came to be a Councillor after enjoying doing community service and fundraising with Wallington and Carshalton Round Table and lists his otherhobbies as music, driving and swimming.
